Wenn ich das höre, merke ich, dass seit einigen Jahren wesentliche Klänge (und Lautstärken) in meinem Leben etwas zurückgetreten sind - teils auch durch Findus und Petterson ersetzt wurden. - Music shall be there!
Who will rescue me?
Jah will always rescue me
Music will always rescue me
In the original text of the Hebrew Bible, "Jah" occurs 50 times, 26 times alone and 24 times in the term "Hallelujah". In the King James Version of the Bible it is transliterated as "JAH" (capitalised) in only one instance: "Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him". (Psalm 68:4)

The popularity of reggae associated with the Rastafari movement has spread the name "Jah" (derived from the KJV Psalms 68:1) beyond the West Indies, where it is common. Rastafarians use the terms "Jah" and "Jah Jah" in reference to Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia.

Acceptance of the God-incarnate status of Jesus in Rastafari doctrine, as is the notion of the corruption of his teachings by secular, Western society, figuratively referred to as Babylon. For this reason, they believe, it was prophesied in the Book of Revelation – "And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel."[14] – that Jesus would return with a new name that would be inscribed on the foreheads of 144,000 of his most devoted servants. Rastas hold that they represent this fulfillment based on their experience in the light of Haile Selassie's return and coronation as the King of Kings on 2 November 1930, whom they see as the second coming of Jesus or the coming of the holy spirit, and therefore Jah, onto the Earth.
Rastas say that Jesus was black while Western Society (or Babylon) has commonly depicted him as white for centuries.

@apo: thx for the elaboration of terms and concepts of rastafari.
in terms of any religion i have to confess, that my (real) name is used correctly in the bible - the unbelieving.
still the music stands for itself and the lyrics, besides the rasta stuff, add truth.
this may sound contradictive, but, as you know, i also enjoy listening to poulenc, messiaen or pärt.
nevertheless:
Oh you must live intelligently
If only for yourself stand on your principality
